Vintage Music & Hambly

There's no retirement
for an artist,
it's your way of living
so there's no end to it.
-Henry Moore

I created this for Art Every Day Month, just a background piece to use someday. I stamped with an Anna Griffin floral stamp, (that I used for my wedding invitations over 5 years ago), using Ranger Distress Inks Antique Linen. I added Hambly Rubons, a doily cutout, and Prima trim. I'll save it for a special project.

Today is a beautiful day, after my husband mulches the leaves in our yard, we're going to take a inice long walk. My neighbor and his little boy are out playing t-ball in their yard. It's a beautiful day. What's happening in your world right now?

Gorgeous, Julie! I'd love to know...when you do something like this you won't be using right away, how do you store it? Do you have a special place or drawer or something? I've been playing with a lot of stuff lately and I'm clueless what to do with it all until I want to use it. I just know I want to keep it separate from the rest of my stash....hmmm...

I use the vertical storage files from Cropper Hopper and the page planner envelopes. (Sent you note on Facebook V)

This a wonderful background page. I love ranger distress inks. Your page looks very vintage.
Very rainy, gray, and cold here. Glad you are having a beautiful day. Enjoy your walk.

Hi Julie, First I'm new to your blog and am enjoying it so very much! I do love the music back ground page you've done here. The linen ink looks subtle and classic in back of the music. As for me I am just sorting out some scrap paper I forgot I had and getting a little inspiration from your blog. I am working on an altered book right now so after preparing dinner I'll probably sit down with a nice cup of tea and try and finish it up. Keep on creating..Shawn

Dear Julie,
That is a very beautiful creation. I like how you stopped to take the time to create this, open for a different project to follow. Well done.
