Catching up with layout inspiration

There are a handful of scrapbook layouts to share with you today as I catch up, and I'll share with you my great find for my notebook I'm using for shimelle's True Stories class as well.

First, last week I was so fortunate to crop with Lisa Swift and Diana Fisher. A little background about these girls....Lisa's work is often found in the pages of Scrapbook Trends. She has a recipe page in the October issue! Diana is the co-founder and inspiration behind Sketchy Thursdays. This is my first time playing along with Sketchy Thursdays, and I wanted to share with you on my blog! I used my Pink Paislee House of 3 resist papers from the For the Luv of Art October La Mode Kit, so artsy! I misted them with several colors for the effect shown. I would have posted yesterday but they were tricky to photograph and had to try again today in the daylight.

and here is one layout for Halloween!!!! My husband and I will be passing out candy. We will not be dressing up our dog Friday, by consensus of my husband and Cheslea Lately. I would be tempted, however, my husband has outvoted me. LOL  Anyways, this layout shows most of our indoor decorations.

Finally, as I promised, I wanted to share my great find for my notebook for shimelle's True Stories online class. It's just a little notebook with a typewriter theme from Michael's and it is just $1. There are similar designs besides the typewriter, and I know some stores in my area were already sold out of the typewriter. If you are interested in it, your store might still have it!

I lovvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee this kit!!!! It is soooooooo fun to work with. I can't tell you how much I love alllllll of it!!!!! I'm not just saying it because I have to or anything, seriously! This kit is truly one of my all-time favorites! Just see for yourself!

I also used House of 3 Parisian Anthologie digital papers, word art overlayed on an EW Couture Storyboard. Rolled flowers from the September kit were misted and stamped.

This was my first layout I made with the YBK right away. You know I had to get my dog Friday a raincoat because it's been raining here so much and for some reason he won't "go" aka do his duty in the backyard so we have to take him on walks, and he HATES the rain and won't go out in the rain either. So I thought if he's in a raincoat then he won't get soaked, and he can be walked in the rain, plus it's easier for me to dry him off.


He didn't try to resist the raincoat or take it off and he was soooooooooooooo cute that he kinda made my day on that dreary rainy day!

Like I said before, this kit is so fun. This background paper is the resist paper by House of 3 from Pink Paislee, it started out white or off-white, and I used a silver ink pad to add color. I'll have a tutorial soon to show exactly what I did for my steps on how to use a stamp pad on this resist paper.


So you can alter this paper any way you wish to customize it to your photos or other papers!!! so fun!

 I just wanted to make something romantic/nostalgic with vintage photos and the glassine envelopes from the FTLOA store. Here I took the Glassine Envelopes and attached them with Metal Rings. Most of the ribbons are from the For the Luv of Art store. Glitter Ribbon, Baker's Twine, and Background Paper are from the October Kit. Other: Vintage Lace, Vintage Photos, House of Three Frames, Word Art, and Brushes.
