“There is no end of craving. Hence contentment alone is the best way to happiness. Therefore, acquire contentment.”
eta: recycled box inspired by andrea wiebe
It's kind of hard to get a good view of the background, but you can a glimpse of it here. I used acrylics to paint layer upon layer of paint, some stamping, sprayed with glimmer mist, etc. Glitter is embedded not only into some of the paint, but also along the floor, and the "ceiling" of the box.
The box is actually a recycled box, a WW Smart Ones Pizza Box - you can see it -->here (link)
For the upper part of the painted background, I embedded pink, purple, green, teal seed beads into the paint along with a few pearl beads, and glitter. There is black lace along the top before the ceiling. Behind the doll's head and upper body is a Hambly transparency. Over the left shoulder (our left), is a postage tag with a heart from japan on a pop dot.
The printed tape from Prima is disappointing that it didn't photograph well, it says "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal."
I cut the title from a vintage book of the same title. Don't you just love it?
