Last Day of "Art Every Day Month"

Yesterday I worked for hours on our new Bad Girls Project 52 challenge coming next week, I think it is really going to appeal to a lot of people. In the meantime, there is plenty of time to finish Challenge #4!!!
I also made this art journal page in my Wreck This Journal book. The challenge was to fill the page with circles which I did using my oil pastels.

And today's WTJ page was to scratch the page using a sharp object:

Over the weekend, my husband hung some shelving in my studio for me!
Here is the BEFORE:

AFTER

And this wall,  I don't think I have a "before" but here is the AFTER:

I have many more photos taken in March 2008 here on Facebook if you want to see!

And so this concludes November's Art Every Day Month Challenge!!!
I didn't make it every day, but I sure had fun trying. I found myself in my studio much more and on Facebook A LOT LESS. It felt good to get something done even if it was just a little something to say
"I was creative today."
Now tomorrow is December and it's the 4th year (WOW) that I am in Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas! I will be blogging almost every day for JYC so stay tuned!!!

Thanksgiving Image Transfer and Freebie - Grateful for YOU My Friends!!!

I am extremely grateful for all my friends, and I wanted to express it today of all days. Especially in times like this when times are tough, it's when friends band together that we make life better. I am so terribly grateful for the gift of friendship from each of you. I wish everyone, even if you are not in the U.S., many blessings, and a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

A few things to share today. I made this layout, using the vintage turkey ad that I am giving away as a freebie below. I did the image transfer technique with gel medium.

Instructions:
  • Draw collage pattern on cardstock
  • Cut scraps of patterned paper to fit collage and adhere
  • Use rubon stitches over seams
  • For image transfer, thin layer of gel medium on layout. Thin layer on image you want to transfer. Put the image face down on layout. Adhere. Rub down. Allow to dry completely for transfer to work, overnight or use heat embossing tool. When dry, spritz with water. Rub edges for film to come off and leave image on your layout.
  • On sticker, use glitter adhesive on monogram. Sprinkle german glass glitter on top. Shake off excess.
  • Add extra embellishmeh

And here is a new page in my Wreck This Journal, "Scrub This Page." I pasted down some scraps from my layout above. Then I used a damp steel wool on these pages. Then I finished with the word "Wonder", some rub ons, and letter stickers. The texture from the steel wool doesn't come across that well, but I like how it looks on the scrapbook paper.

And some decor from my home...

Swoon

Isn't the above ad for Anthropologie just delish? I totally swooned over it when I opened my email this morning. I really can't afford anything there, but I do subscribe to both Anthropologie and Free People emails just for the beautiful graphics!

I'm still recovering from working all day yesterday on my videos for  P52 Challenge #4.
If you are looking for the Project 52 Blog Hop, GO HERE!!!

So I came across on 123people links to these  free .PDF's that I am in from my pal Becky Fleck, the best-selling author of the b ook Scrapbook PageMaps  and I thought I'd share them with you, click on the image to go to the download. The second one is features digital scrapbookers.

So my mother wants me to give her $100 worth of Christmas gift ideas for her to buy me (includes my birthday on December 27th).  Do you guys have any suggestions? She is a total list person when it comes to shopping for Christmas.  What are you asking Santa for?

Pre-Black Friday Shopping

I have been overdoing it with the shopping!!!

It's been fun. There are some pre-Black Friday sales and then once I get going, I just can't seem to stop. Does that ever happen to you? I get the shopping bug, and it feels so good, I want to shop and shop!

Of course, I have been shopping for art supplies! LOL  Now, I have a rule that I don't buy anymore unless I have a project in mind,  {and my favorite store is Bad Girls} it just so happens that I have a lot of projects lined up for the next few months!

In place of my art for today, here's some of what I've bought! The Christmas is obviously for my Christmas journal, and the rest I can't tell you what secret projects I'm working on!!! You'll have to check in and see!
